Welcome Back High School

We're back!! It's the beginning of a brand new school year and I'm so excited about my High School Art class this year. We have a class of 15 and some very gifted artists. Last year I failed to get a group picture, so this photo was a must.

One big happy Art family

We have begun an art challenge project. This project was a medium and time challenge. Students had to rotate to each station and only use the materials at that table to complete their letter design. Students were given a new letter at every station they rotated to. The letters will spell out our class verse:

"But now, O LORD, you are our Father; 
we are the clay, and you are our potter; 
we are all the work of your hand." 
Isaiah 64:8

Changes

We are all aware of the wonderful changes and improvements that have happened to our school over summer break. We have sparkling halls and classrooms, a neat hallway, brand new floors on our gym, a new cafeteria and classrooms, and also a brand new pre-school addition! But there is one project you may not have known about. There are three replacement medal panels on the back of our building that have been designed and painted with a TCS theme.

A HUGE THANK YOU to Kara and Amanda Solomon who came in over the summer and painted "Timberlake Tornadoes" on the these LARGE medal panels. Kara and Amanda came in during the last few days of their summer break to complete the job! I'm so impressed with them and thankful for their help with the enormous project. Thanks girls! Didn't they do a fantastic job?

Movin' on Up...

Old Room...

New Room

We're movin' up y'all! We all had mixed emotions being in the old dark purple and burnt orange room. Even with all the great memories we made last year we simply needed more space. We are so privileged to be moving upstairs to a much larger classroom. I am so excited to be in a fresh new space this year with lots of room to create. This classroom is like a blank canvas, and I am thrilled to design a new creative space for us this year! Photos of the finished room coming soon...

With the school year beginning in only a week and a half, Mrs. B is ready to get the art studio finished. See you soon kiddos! I can't wait to see what we create together this year!
